Yes it does seem too coincidental. I had this dream several weeks ago but procrastinated to blog about it for a while.
Indeed it was all very weird, as the first location in my dream was a church. It was a typical church with stone walls and ancient coloured glass paintings for windows with sunlight shining through. It was all quite surreal, not frightening nor was it hilarious. The atmosphere had no tension; just a feeling of calmness.
So who runs/lives in the church? Rabbits did. No, certainly not a Rabi. That's totally disrespectful. Bunnies who hopped around on all fours, and would walk on their two hind legs at times behaved like monks/priests that tended to the sacred building of theirs. They looked like normal rabbits, save for the point that they were bipedal.
And then my dream snapped and changed channel.
It was a wedding. The location was in some Chinese restaurant serving typical Chinese cuisine you would expect to see in a Chinese wedding. Everything was within logic with nothing peculiar in sight. So who's wedding was it? Was it somebody I know? Indeed it was. This event was organised by the sister of my father. And her husband. But it was not their wedding mind you. It was their wedding anniversary. The dinner was held by them to celebrate their being together for so long.
The irony in the restaurant scene was that, in real life, that very couple (my dad's sister) that I know of is not that loving at all! They sleep in separate rooms in their apartment and behave quite unlike regular loving couples should. That, is the part that's been perplexing.

Boat chase scene
This dream had a mixture of me behaving like an onlooker (as if watching on the tele) and at times showing me as one of the characters.
The location appears to be somewhat like a resort villa/building at least 5 storeys high. The building was situated by a body of water, possibly a lake/river/swamp - basically passable only to small watercrafts. I was a guest/watching this scene on tv.
A speedboat zipped past on the water and somehow I was chasing after it. I'd seen it getting away from atop the building standing from a balcony with white pedestal/low wall. Then I ran after it, hopped on to my own watercraft and the chase scene began. I believe I was not alone, as in I had a partner/sidekick/I was somebody's sidekick.
The scene then cut to the part where we caught up with the people on board the boat we were chasing after.
This is the part where it got weird.
We caught up to what appeared to be about half a dozen people or so. And then my partner and I sat down with all of them at a table that appeared out of nowhere. Or it could have been there, just without me noticing it.
We were about to begin some weird fighting style. It was like arm wrestling, or a test of agility. The guy beside me told us to back off and not come after them anymore. As he spoke, the two of us had some sort of scuffle in which he held one of my hand in his grip and my hand felt numb. It'd seem he was using lead pushed out of a mechanical pencil to cause the numbness in me. I then managed to wrestle the pencil from him but he'd grabbed one last piece of lead before that. So i resorted to breaking it in his own grip. His companion opposite us then reached from across the table and grabbed hold of my arm. My arms felt rather helpless by now.
Fortunately for me - or not, because I won't know what happens next - I woke up then. My mouth felt dry as I'd been breathing through it, and my nose felt clogged. I cleared my nose and snoozed a bit more before getting up. For a Saturday I must say it's the earliest I've woken up in a while.

elevator
It's been a while since I last dreamt of anything. Probably due to tiredness from coming home after work. But surprisingly I just had one before waking up today.
It all felt a little bit like third-person, like watching a movie, but in any case, the storyline goes something like this... I/the person I was watching was in a lucky draw of sorts and won a trip to some place nice. Excited as I was, I packed my belongings and headed to what seemed like a terminal/interchange of sorts, for some public transport. Could have been a train/ship or whatever. It all felt a bit like in the forties, fifties, and the environment reminded me of some place american. Or basically caucasian for that matter.
There were some other people queuing up at the location, waiting to board this transport. It was a long queue. However, I didn't NEED to queue. I was escorted with another guy that I was having a happy conversation with, into an elevator. The elevator resembled those found on construction sites, with a rather open concept. It certainly didn't feel very safe.
And indeed it wasn't. I could see the cables pulling our car up the shaft somehow, and for some strange reason, the elevator gradually gained speed, and it felt like it was losing control. Panicky as we were, we couldn't do much. As we were propelled up to the top floor, the elevator launched off the shaft and landed on this platform just above the shaft. It was quite a large area that we landed on, and it felt pretty safe.
The problem now is, this floor was rather inaccessible and it didn't seem like we were going to get out of this place easily. The two of us were stuck here, it seemed. We stared down the shaft, and it was a really, really, really, really, really long way down... we considered rappelling down the shaft using an available elevator shaft cable, but it didn't seem safe because if we were to lose our grip we will certainly fall to our doom.
And I woke. Kind of anti-climax wasn't it? It really didn't seem like there was going to be any way out for me... and I think we were more worried about not getting on board our transport, which made us even more anxious to get out of that place. And I have no idea who the person is but all I can say is that it was a guy I'm sure.
