The cakes of Clare and Evan

Imagine the shock we felt, when I visited Clarence & Evangeline together with Rachel last night... In my #dream. They were at home when we decided to drop by.

Visiting their kitchen, they showed the well over 20 birthday cakes of all sorts, for their kid, that they had in the many display fridges hanging around. We helped to tabao one back to finish.

"I guess no curry potato bun for me tomorrow morning", I told Sherman, who for some stupid reason tagged along.

A talk with a God on an office phone

A room with a PABX phone. That was where I was in my #dream earlier. I was in an office with bare minimum furniture. In order to build "stuff", I tried contacting a few people looking for help. They answered their phones but told me they couldn't help either. Eventually I gave up.

Then a call came. It was an Indian lady looking to contact me. She sounded like she was the personal assistant to an omnipotent big shot. After a brief discussion, she put me through to a guy while she stays online in our conference call. I managed to ask her boss if we could request some "resources" so that we could build the stuff we needed. In a brief debate, he ultimately gave up negotiating, and promptly hung up on me. The lady apologised saying there was nothing she could do.

I placed the receiver down and my assistant... I vaguely drifted awake... and the assistant was Rachel. She asked me what's wrong, and quietly pointed to the lights on the aircon in the room. I instinctively knew that because the guy was powerful enough to still be able to hear us because the lights were still on, and tried to describe the situation, but couldn't mutter the words to complete my sentence.

And I woke to take a piss. Yeah, I totally went there.

Note that I'm not particularly religious (more agnostic than atheistic) so I'm not identifying with any particular religion in this one. I was merely describing the feeling it gave me, plus the helplessness in my being denied my "resources" by the big guy.
