It's been a very long while since I had any dreams that I remembered. And the slumber last night gave me not one, but two brief but scary ones.
The first had me waking up and unable to return to sleep for a bit. It was a spirit in the Google Home Mini that I'd recently bought. Talk about ghost in the shell! It felt like the device was haunting me due to supernatural causes more so than the AI, ironically.
Next after I managed to return to sleep, was me having gone back to my secondary school. The octagonal garden yard of the four-storey building was there, and so was the old hall and canteen. I was with a couple of classmates. I'd apparently not showed up to school for a while, so I didn't know my way around to get to the classrooms. Some guy I know brought his pet rabbit, for some reason, not only was it not in a cage, when I met him, we were on the fourth floor, AND there were numerous holes in the ground. As he was seemingly playing and skipping by himself, I looked on in shock as his bunny followed him around, trying its best to navigate the deadly openings. There was a pavilion where the boy skipped over a hole, and this was when his rabbit couldn't. It struggled a bit before it finally dropped in. I ran towards them and the class full of students and a teacher, and burst into tears in my dream. The sun had come up by this time that I'd woken up.
On hindsight, the bunny would have fallen through the hole on to the third floor and likely survived, yet the logic in my dream decided that the pavilion was constructed in the air. And in case it wasn't obvious, I have a fondness for rabbits.
