i had this recurring dream previously. at least once or twice before. i was one of the troopers deployed. we were investigating this HDB estate and i was some sort of reconnaisance fella hence lighter equipped. there was an infestation of alien eggs apparently.we had to burn them dead.
as i was taking a look around, some of the other troopers were looking around too and spotted some eggs. they then began to burn the alien eggs. however before the flame thrower managed to start up, some of the eggs started hatching and glued the weapon together with the trooper. they were releasing some gooey substance as some sort of a self defense mechanism. i saw this from a distance but i couldn't really help. i was not equipped with a heavy weapon. i ran around a while, and saw a few others getting trapped too. and i saw one of the troopers i was with being glued, and the alien was taking shape with a large head a la Aliens(yes i know they came out small in the movie but in my dream, they came out looking how they would as an adult in the movie). that trooper was getting ready to have his head chomped off by the alien... i was rather helpless.
i think i had barely a small dagger. but apparently while i was running past this growing egg thing i saw, i used the dagger and deftly poked at it with the pointed end. but it wasn't in time. i poked it and it deflated. uh yeah... you heard me. deflated. and out jumped... an inflatable restaurant-mascot-a-la-Austin-Powers boy. i tried killing it by deflating it with the pointed end and again i failed. it jumped off and ran towards the other troopers and attacking them.
i wouldn't know how an inflatable mascot can attack as human as i woke up by then. =_=
